Waterbox REEF LX 290.6 Gen2

The Waterbox REEF LX is the bigger cousin to the well-loved REEF series. The REEF LX aquariums start at a total system volume of 900 liters and go up to 1300 liters, providing the perfect foundation for the large aquarium of your dreams. You'll have ample room for aquascaping with a staggering 75cm of depth built into every REEF LX model, and you wont need to worry about fussing around with complex cabinetry or plumbing-- this line of aquariums comes with a fully-assembled cabinet and an easy, ready-to-assemble plumbing kit. The included Marineshield stand is the most advanced cabinetry designed by Waterbox yet, including everything from fully-waterproof materials, ventilation grills, powder-coated aluminum framing, eccentric leveling feet, and even a built-in control center!

5D Rimless Low Iron Glass, Superior Craftsmanship

All Waterbox aquariums feature ultra-clear, low-iron Starphire glass that lets you see your fish and corals more clearly! Typical glass can block up to 20% of light passing through and can cause a yellowing effect, where Waterbox aquarium glass will allow more than 91% of light through. The increased light transfusion leads to more brilliant colors and an overall better-looking tank.

Like all Waterbox aquariums, the REEF LX series also includes strong straight-edged black silicone joints to create a leak-free aquarium. After assembly, every tank is water tested and inspected to ensure years of worry-free reefing. A pre-glued self-leveling mat is also included to minimize the effects of uneven surfaces or pressure points.

All Glass Overflow Box

Plastic overflow boxes can be a hassle, as they are hard to clean and can become brittle over time. That's why Waterbox aquariums feature all-glass overflows that can be cleaned just like the aquarium walls, with a metal-bladed scraper, saving you time and headaches. The REEF series overflow box features water-etched weir teeth and a sleek glass cover featuring the Waterbox logo.

Reef-Ready Sump System

The REEF series comes complete with a glass sump filtration system thoughtfully designed for your needs. The baffled sump includes chambers for filter socks, a return pump, a refugium*, and a large section for a protein skimmer or reactor. Two filter socks are included in the REEF LX series to help polish your water from any free-floating particles, leading to longer pump life and cleaner water. The sump system also includes an external RO reservoir perfect for holding freshwater for top offs to replace evaporated water in your aquarium. Just add your favorite ATO system for days or weeks of hassle-free evaporation management!

Ready-to-Assemble Plumbing

Plumb your new tank in minutes with the included quick-connect PVC plumbing. Waterbox plumbing is made up of a mixture of rigid PVC, unions, a check valve and a gate valve to give you a silent system, while also remaining safe from overflows, back-siphoning, and leaks. The pre-built sections make connecting everything super simple-- no plumbing knowledge required! The REEF LX series even includes a dual-manifold, giving you additional valves for seamless connection to your desired filtration and reactors. 

MARINESHIELD Cabinets -- Built for Strength & Stability

Each REEF LX aquarium is paired with a Marineshield, fully-waterproof cabinet stand designed with pro reefers in mind. The Marineshield cabinets are built with powder-coated aluminum framing to support 50% more weight than traditional aquarium cabinetry. They also feature eccentric leveling feet to create a stable foundation for your dream system. Waterbox takes their cabinetry design a step further with this model, adding ventilation grills to the back panel to decrease humidity and keep your equipment dry, as well as using fully waterproof wood composite materials for its paneling. The cherry on top? The Marineshield cabinet includes a control center strategically designed to accommodate all major controllers, drivers, and dosers. It can be installed on either side of the cabinet, depending on your preferences and set up.
