What is ICP-OES test? ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry) is a technique used to analyze the composition of many different types of liquid samples, e.g. drinking water, brine or sea water. The Aquaforest Lab owns the highest resolution spectrometer on the market with plasma excitation with a unique, patented optical system made with horizontal and vertical plasma. Wavelength range 130-770 nm. The analysis and processing of the entire spectral spectrum takes only 2 seconds. Thanks to the fast reading system, elemental analysis possible with a sampling frequency of up to 10 Hz.

USAGE:
Rinse the test vial twice with the water intended for analysis before collecting the actual sample. Fill the vial with water and make sure, that you close it tightly. Sign up and log in www.aquaforestlab.com. Use the vial code to register your sample. Fill in the sender details on the enclosed envelope and mail the sample to our lab for analysis. We will notify you by email once the results are available. Please log on www.aquaforestlab.com website in order to receive your reports.

Aquaforest TestPro Magnesium is designed to quickly measure the concentration of Magnesium (Mg) in marine water. Magnesium plays an important role in many biological processes, e.g. takes part in the construction of hard coral’s calcium carbonate skeleton. Due to its unique chemical properties it has significant impact on seawater buffering capacity, and also prevents excessive precipitation of calcium carbonate on aquarium equipment. Adequate level of Magnesium is crucial in maintaining proper Calcium and Alkalinity balance in reef aquaria.
The Aquaforest TestPro Pack includes drop tests to check levels of Ca, KH, and Mg in saltwater aquariums. Calcium, Alkalinity, and Magnesium are the most crucial parameters in a reef aquarium and should be monitored regularly. In order to ensure the proper functioning of the marine aquarium calcium levels should be maintained in the range 380-460 mg/l (ppm), Magnesium should fall between 1260-1460 mg/l (ppm), and alkalinity should vary between 6.5-8.0 dKH for Ultra Low Nutrient Systems (ULNS) or higher for aquariums with more nutrients.
Aquaforest TestPro KH is designed to quickly measure carbonate hardness in the marine aquariums. In order to ensure the proper functioning of the marine aquarium, alkalinity should vary between 6.5-8.0 dKH for Ultra Low Nutrient Systems (ULNS). Higher values are permissible for aquariums with higher nutrients. The set contains enough reagents to perform 78-100 determinations of carbonate hardness.
Aquaforest TestPro Ca is designed to quickly measure the calcium content in the marine aquariums, freshwater aquariums, ponds or water reservoirs. In order to ensure the proper functioning of the marine aquarium calcium levels should be maintained in the range 380-460 mg/l (ppm). The set contains enough reagents to perform 55-65 determinations of calcium levels.
AF Phosphate TestPro is designed for quick measurement of phosphate ions in a marine aquarium. Phosphate is a breeding ground for the growth of undesired algae, so it is very important to constantly monitor its concentration in marine tanks. In addition, a high concentration of phosphate may be harmful to corals. Phosphate levels in the marine aquarium should not exceed 0.02 mg/l (ppm). This Test Kit contains sufficient reagents to perform 40 tests of phosphate concentration.
AF Nitrate TestPro is designed for quick measurement of nitrate ions in marine aquariums.
Nitrate in water is the end result of biological filtration. High concentrations of nitrate cause the growth of undesirable algae. Nitrate levels in reef aquariums should be 2-5 mg/l (ppm). This test kit contains sufficient reagents to perform 40 tests of nitrate concentration.
