Nyos Ion-B Alk/pH+ Powder

With the Nyos ION-B System, you have at your disposal a perfectly calibrated, state-of-the-art dosing system for modern marine aquariums. The system is simple and intuitive, and it can be individually adapted to the needs of your aquarium.

With just two solutions, you can:

• Replace consumed calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity
• Perform an ion balance adjustment
• Stabilize the pH value within the range of 8.0–8.3
• Replace and adjust all necessary trace elements according to consumption

Available Sizes:

• 671g (for 3 L finished solution) contains 30,000 dKH
• 1,342g (for 6 L finished solution) contains 60,000 dKH

The ION-BALANCED ALK/pH+ powder mix allows you to prepare a concentrated solution to increase alkalinity (carbonate hardness) and stabilize the pH value. It is part of the Nyos ION-B method.

• Yields 3 liters of finished solution (671g can) or 6 liters of finished solution (1,342g can)
• Increases alkalinity and stabilizes the pH value
• Additionally contains sulfate, bromide, and fluoride for ion balancing

Application:

• 671g can: Dissolve the entire contents of the can in 2.9 liters of RO (reverse osmosis) water. This yields 3 liters of ALK/pH+ solution.
• 1,342g can: Dissolve the entire contents of the can in 5.75 liters of RO water. This yields 6 liters of ALK/pH+ solution.
• Adjust the dosage to compensate for the daily consumption of dKH.
• One liter of ION-B ALK/pH+ contains approximately 10,000 dKH.
• Dosage guideline: 5–10 ml per day per 100 L of aquarium water.

Notes:

• Alkalinity and calcium are consumed by corals in a ratio of approximately 1:7. The ION-B solutions are also in a 1:7 ratio, so you can generally add identical amounts of both solutions.
• Any crystallization at low temperatures is not critical and will disappear once the temperature rises.
