Aquaforest Strontium is a highly concentrated supplement of strontium and barium. Strontium, after calcium and magnesium, is one of the most important elements needed to accelerate the growth of stony skeletal structures in SPS and LPS corals. It supports the formation of hard coral skeletal tissue and significantly improves calcium absorption, while also being a essential nutrient for soft corals like gorgonians, zoas, and mushrooms.

Component C is designed for complementing minor deficiencies of iodine and fluorine in a marine aquarium. Skimmer and filtration media tend to remove trace elements from the water of closed aquarium system, making micro nutrients supplementation necessary. In marine aquariums, iodine is responsible for the general cells functioning and for the transfer of nutrients. Fluorine takes part in the calcification process and supports skeletal tissue development. The use of Component C ensures keeping the content of iodine and fluorine in water at the same level as in natural seawater.

Bromine stimulates marine organisms to produce substances protecting them from predators. In closed systems of marine aquariums, bromine is regularly consumed by the reef inhabitants. As it is with most micronutrients, its deficiencies lead to the deterioration of the health of the aquarium inhabitants, so regular water testing and supplementation, if required by the tank, is recommended.

Boron is one of the trace elements found in the natural environment of corals. It takes part in the metabolism of calcium and accelerates the growth of coralline algae. Due to its properties, it positively influences the development of coral skeletons and improves coloration. Maintaining the appropriate level of boron increases the production of red phytopigments, which lead to more intense coloration of zooxanthella corals (yellow, orange and red).

Iron is one of the most important minor trace elements in reef aquariums, especially for corals and sea anemones. Aquaforest Kalium is a highly concentrated potassium supplement to support neurological functions, nutrient transport and strong pink/red coloration in corals. Usage of zeolites-based filtration media in the aquarium may lead to potassium deficiency. Therefore, regular and balanced use of Kalium is recomended to maintain a proper level of potassium in your reef system. The recommended level of potassium in the reef aquarium is 360-380 mg/l.
