Algae Substitute for Reef Snow Particles to Form into Natural Coral Food
- - Variable flake size
- Improves nutrient utilization
- Prebiotic effect for fish
- Reduces nutrient content in the water
- Ideal for binding vitamins and other food additives
We recommend a combination of Reef Snow with the plankton substitutes Tropic Marin Phyton and Zooton.
Reef Snow is the combination of smaller particulates that are bonded by a biopolymer and can create larger strings and flakes. Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Reef Snow is designed to aid the naturally occurring process to produce a natural coral food in your aquarium. Most coral reefs have a high amount of biopolymers available and in household aquariums that amount may not be as concentrated and by using Tropic Marin Reef Snow with other particulate foods like Zooton and Phyton, you will be able to mimic the natural concentration leading to more food for your coral and a cleaner aquarium.
Ingredients: Extract of algae, algae.
Instructions:
Stir approximately 1.5 measuring spoons into 100 ml of RODI water and let it hydrate for one to two hours, stirring occasionally. Next, stir in Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Phyton or Pro-Coral Zooton and let it hydrate for another 30 minutes. Add it to a high flow area in the display tank allows corals and filter feeders to capture the food.
Pure Pro-Coral Reef Snow solution (without plankton substitute) can be stored for two weeks at room temperature. The size of Pro-Coral Reef Snow particles formed can be influenced by varying the dosage from one to two measuring spoons per 100 ml. Less Pro-Coral Reef Snow will form smaller particles; more Pro-Coral Reef Snow will form larger particles.
