AccuraSea1 is formulated to simulate natural seawater and is packaged as a number of accurately weighed packages. The advantages of this packaging are many: You can mix a batch without ever having to check the salt content.

No more back and forth adding salt, mixing, waiting, testing and adjusting until you get it right. Simply add a measured amount of water to the mixing bucket or vessel, add the contents of one or more packs, depending on the volume of water, and you have an accurate natural seawater mixture. If you don't think that's a problem, consider the following: If a dry salt mix isn't mixed thoroughly, or if vibrations during transportation cause the components in the package to separate, the one scoop out of the package is not exactly the same as the other. , so unless you use the entire contents of a bag or bucket of salt, any mix you make may not be the same. Even when the salts are ground to a uniform size and mixed homogeneously by the manufacturer, the hygroscopic nature of synthetic salt blends poses another problem: if you don't use all of the salt blend when you open the package, moisture will enter and react with the salts. The reactions can produce insoluble residues and fundamentally change the formulation.
