Barium is an element naturally occurring in seawater. Iron is one of the most important minor trace elements in reef aquariums, especially for corals and sea anemones. It greatly increases the respiration capabilities of algae, helping to increase the photosynthesis potential of plants and corals. Iron will also enhance green coloration in stony corals.
